The Great Lady who walks among mothers, fields and thresholds.
The Middle World
The living land of humans, animals and the spirits of place.

The Középső Világ is the world of footprints — the steppe and the forest, the river bend and the hearth-stone, the orchard and the loom. Everything here is ensouled: a spring has its lady, a mountain its grandfather, a house its small guardian behind the stove. To live well in the middle is to remember that one is never alone in a place, and that every taking asks for a giving.
“The road runs both ways: what you take from a place is the debt you walk back with.”
The Great Lady who walks among mothers, fields and thresholds.
Earth Mother — the dark loam that holds seed and bone.
Water Mother of rivers, wells and births.
Fair folk of meadow and spring — exacting, beautiful, just.
Hearth-spirit of the home, fed at the corner of the stove.
The miraculous stag who walks between forest and fate.
At Aratás the first cut of grain is laid back at the field's edge — a gift returned before any is taken.
A pinch of bread or salt is dropped behind the stove at every meal for the unseen guest.
Wells are wreathed and thanked at the spring equinox so the water continues to give.
