The Lower World
Source of dream, transformation, healing and rebirth.
The Alsó Világ is not hell — it is the dark country beneath the roots, where the seed sleeps before it rises and where what has been torn is woven back. It is the dwelling of the great serpent, of the bear in winter, of the unborn and the unfinished dead. The Táltos descends to it to find what illness has stolen, and to bargain with the powers that keep the world turning under the world.

The Táltos descends through a root, a well or a cave to recover a piece of soul torn loose by shock or grief.
Bones of hunted animals are returned whole to the earth so the creature may return whole to the herd.
At Ősök Ünnepe a plate is set for the dead and left through the night at the hearth.
